Book Groups
We run four evening book groups, taking place in the upstairs, private room of The Lansdown pub round the corner from the shop.
- Fiction Book Club is on the last Wednesday of the month. This is currently full. Do let us know if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
- Non-fiction Book Club is on the last Monday of the month.
- Short Fiction Book Club (novellas and short stories) is on the second Tuesday of every month.
- Ruthless Book Club is on the second Thursday of every month; Ruthless attendees will find we read experimental, dark, genre-bending writing – nothing is off limits. Let us know if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
The groups run from 18.30-19.45. Please contact us if you are interested in joining. We ask that you purchase a copy of the book from us or a different book if you already own a copy.
Poetry Book Club takes place in the upstairs, private room at The Royal Oak, 16.00-17.15.
- Poetry Book Club is on the first Wednesday of the month.
We ask that you buy the book from us and that you buy something in the pub – they do have plenty of coffees/soft drinks as well as excellent harder drinks…!
