Poetry in Herons: Dominic Fisher & Gillie Harries

Our poetry series continues with Dominic Fisher and Gillie Harries. They will read some of their poems for around 15 minutes each, followed by an opportunity to ask questions or have copies of their books signed.

Gillie Harries has drawn inspiration from her birthplace on the Suffolk coastline and from sites around her adopted city of Bristol. She has been published in both pamphlets and anthologies and brought out her collection Kneeling in Dust in 2020.

Dominic Fisher taught English for many years in both Bristol and internationally. His poems have been widely published, broadcast and won prizes. His second collection A Customised Selection of Fireworks came out in 2022.
